Pygmy
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
Pygmy is a small precision platformer made using pygame-ce and moderngl where you play as a duck escaping from a remote prison, working you're way through the dangerous landscape as you flee.
How to play? (IMPORTANT - Read this!)
- Press X to dash (important for long jumps!)
- Use WASD or the arrow keys to move
- In order to wall jump, you must slide against a wall and then press up to jump.
Before you start working through the levels, try wall jumping and dashing around a bit in the playground to get used to the movement (so you don't need to test on the spikes later!).

Install instructions
On Windows, simply download the zip or 7z archive, and then extract it. Then just open the executable. Note that you may receive a warning about the executable being "not trusted". Just click run away if this happens (unless you don't trust me of course!).
On Linux, it is slightly more complicated, though still straightforward. First download the AppImage. Then you can just run it from the terminal:
~/Downloads$ chmod +x ./Pygmy-x86_64.AppImage # run it: ~/Downloads$ ./Pygmy-x86_64.AppImage
For MacOS, download Pygmy-MacOS.zip. This contains a .app file, which should be runnable.
If you have issues with the app not being signed try running this in the terminal:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Downloads/main.app
If you encounter any other issues please let me know!

THIS GAE IS SO SICK
Genuinely one of the best games I've ever played
Particles are so cool and pretty (leaves, water, dying)
Grass is so funny
Story pretty interesting
DUCK GO BOOM
And so much more
this game is way past my skill level (i just suck at games), but without a doubt I'm coming back and keeping this on my pc
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
